“Moriah School & Home” refers to a school and a residential home located in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India.
Since 1999, Moriah School has been serving students from pre-kindergarten through 10th Class (Grade).
Since 1985, Moriah Home has been a full-time residential home for orphaned and semi-orphaned children. Every child living at Moriah Home attends Moriah School and is supported in a safe, structured and flourishing environment.
In India, education has become transactional; measured more by profits, rankings, and examination scores than by the growth of the child. Many schools* emphasize rote memorization and outward appearance, leaving students underprepared for higher education, meaningful work, and responsible citizenship. Families make extraordinary sacrifices in the hope of a better future for their children, yet too often that promise goes unfulfilled.
Moriah School was founded on a distinct vision: that every child deserves an education that brings out his or her best and nurtures character, curiosity, and competence. Our mission is to provide a learning environment in which students are known and valued, and are equipped not only for academic success, but also to grow into capable, compassionate adults who are committed to serving their neighbors.

Donations are not used for overhead expenses in the U.S. All Directors, visitors and supporters fund their own travel and expenses. There is no paid U.S. staff.
